S2D2 Productions, Inc. (d/b/a Elegant Event Lighting) seeks Operations Manager in Schaumburg, IL: Plan, direct and coordinate the operations for provision of special event services, including décor installation and removal. Observe and analyze information obtained from venues for future setups including equipment variations, required equipment, loading information, parking, power limitations, etc. Manage the preparation of event drawings and specifications. Coordinate with sales team regarding technical assistance with designs. Take inventory and manage fabric, vinyl, rigging, and lighting supplies. Managing warehouse and event budgets. Monitor and control resources and oversee the budgets and spending of money. Monitor suppliers of décor, lighting, and other goods to ensure goods are provided efficiently and within budgetary limits. Establish and implement décor and lighting procedures. Manage movement of décor and lighting from warehouse to event locations and assign crews and trucking for events. Prepare event staff and warehouse work schedules and assign day-to-day or special event duties. Coordinate execution of event décor installation and removal. Manage physical warehouse building and rentals including landscaping, snow removal, and building repairs and upkeep. Perform personnel functions, such as on-boarding and training new employees. Supervise warehouse workers. Only incidental travel within 100 miles of employer for client events required. 


Requirements: Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Public Administration, Management, or related field and 2 years experience as Special Event Decor Installation Coordinator required. Experience must include coordination of special event décor installation including: 1) model and create fabric design elements such as swags, valances, backdrops, arches, and door entrances; 2) lead, train, and manage setup and strike crews; and 3) develop and maintain inventory of décor elements.  Email resume to hr@eelchicago.com for consideration
