Renee Lapping & Kris Knutson had a beautiful Wedding Ceremony & Reception on Saturday, December 13th, 2014 at the Marriott Schaumburg in Schaumburg, IL. Renee & Chris were a fun couple to work with and we loved creating their custom lighting and décor design for their Wedding Day!

Renee & Kris’ ceremony décor began with a white fabric backdrop that was bathed in soft white lighting.

Renee made her grand entrance down the white aisle fabric runner that ran from the stage to the last row of guest chairs.

The couple said their “I Do’s” under an elegant, white fabric Chuppah. The EEL Chicago Team illuminated the legs of the Chuppah with soft white lighting that complimented the ceremony backdrop.

After cocktail hour, guests were welcomed into the reception with a gorgeous white pleated fabric backdrop behind the sweetheart table. The backdrop was illuminated in vibrant pink uplighting.

We absolutely love Renee & Kris’ custom heart monogram in the center of the backdrop!

To add a pop of color to the dance floor, Elegant Event Lighting washed the Marriott Schaumburg’s wood dance floor with light pink and light blue lighting.

Our sister company, Something 2 Dance 2, provided the Ceremony Coordination as well as the DJ Entertainment for Renee & Kris’ guests! Here is DJ and Owner Jay Sims getting guests excited to welcome the bridal party for the night’s introductions!

It was an absolute pleasure working with Renee & Kris to bring their wedding lighting and décor vision to life! We also loved working with Carna Lapping of Very Important Events, who helped us coordinate all of the details for the couple’s big day!
